Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
