Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, but can the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.
Football and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Forecasts

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this game will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's sole away victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
My son advised me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.
However I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
