Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without joy".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public figures expressed divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making provocative claims that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors last week. Talking on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser ought to have intervened when the impulse to speak on the death was made.
