An Palestinian-American teenager after completing nine months in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges has been freed.
Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old when he was arrested in February within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit while residing in Florida for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.
United States authorities said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.
Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, relatives told the media.
According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.
Via family representatives, family spokesperson spoke of the family's "immense relief".
Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, we are focused on getting Mohammed urgent medical care necessary for his recovery after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment over several months."
US officials said it would continue to provide consular support for the Ibrahim family.
{"American leadership gives utmost importance to ensuring the safety of American nationals"," officials stated.
Twenty-seven US lawmakers submitted a formal letter to the state department and the administration, demanding more be done to secure his release.
The father, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.
There were no visits or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, learning information solely regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.
The teenager remained without charge at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.
The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty for major terrorist activities and homicide.
An estimated several hundred young Palestinian detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, per correctional service statistics.
Numerous remain uncharged and human rights groups, including UN bodies, document cases involving mistreatment and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.
The 20-year-old dual US citizen according to health authorities succumbed to assault by radical settlers following tensions last July.
During that period, defense forces stated they were examining information regarding a civilian was deceased.
The two cousins had worked together in the family ice cream shop from Tampa.
No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.
"We expect US authorities to safeguard our relatives," Mr Kadur said.
